If your breasts have begun to sag or droop due to the aging process, child birth, or other natural causes, it may be time to consider a breast lift. At Newport Plastic Surgery, we are led by one of the most skilled breast lift plastic surgeons in Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, Irvine, and the surrounding communities.
What is a Breast Lift?
A breast lift, also called a mastopexy, is a breast enhancement technique that restores a youthful perkiness to the breasts to address sagging or drooping. Oftentimes, the breasts will begin to sag over the years due to the natural aging process. These changes can even be accelerated by pregnancy and breastfeeding. A breast lift can help women restore their youthful figure and their confidence.
How Much Does a Breast Lift Cost?
The cost of a breast lift can vary depending on the extent of treatment necessary to deliver a patient’s desired results. When you schedule a consultation with Dr. Go of Newport Plastic Surgery, he will develop a personalized treatment plan based on your specific cosmetic goals. Once this treatment plan is developed, we will be able to provide you with the exact cost of treatment. We also offer financing through CareCredit® to make this and other treatments more affordable.
What is a Breast Augmentation with Lift?
A breast augmentation with a lift is an advanced technique performed by Dr. Go that combines breast augmentation with the breast lift procedure. This procedure is indicated for patients who want correction for significant sagging of their breasts and also wishes to augment the volume. During this treatment, breast implants are inserted under the breasts while the sagging breast tissue is meticulously trimmed and contoured around the new implants. As a result, patients will achieve perkier, more youthful breasts with more upper pole fullness that are also enhanced in size and shape.
How is a Breast Lift Performed?
The breast lift procedure is performed under general anesthesia. During the surgery, incisions will be made around the areola of the nipples. Additional incisions may be necessary, depending on the patient’s treatment goals and amount of loose, sagging skin present. From these incisions, excess skin is removed and the remaining skin is tightened to produce a lifted appearance in the breasts. We are also able to correct the size and position of the nipples and areolas during this procedure. Afterwards, the incisions will be sutured and the treatment will be complete.
How is Recovery After a Breast Lift?
After a breast lift surgery, you may feel tired and sore for a few days. Most patients are able to return to their normal light activities between a week and 10 days after the procedure. Any pain, swelling, and sensitivity will diminish over the next few weeks, and the scars will fade over the next several months.
