Radiesse® in Irvine, CA

Radiesse® is one of the few injectable treatments that produce continued results with collagen stimulation. To help patients achieve lasting youthfulness, Newport Plastic Surgery offers this treatment with the expertise of Dr. Go, a triple board-certified physician in Costa Mesa, Irvine, Huntington Beach, and the neighboring cities of California.

What is Radiesse®?

Radiesse® is dermal filler that is composed of a smooth, water-based gel. Its formula also includes calcium-based microspheres, which are safely absorbed by the body over time. As the body breaks down the Radiesse® formula, natural collagen production is stimulated. Over the months following treatment, the body will gradually replace the Radiesse® formula with your own natural collagen. This produces long-lasting and natural results. Radiesse® can be used to address the following cosmetic concerns:

  • Smile lines or nasolabial folds
  • Marionette lines
  • Chin wrinkles
  • Sagging jowls
  • Hand rejuvenation

How Much Does Radiesse® Cost?

The cost of Radiesse® can vary depending on the extent of treatment necessary to deliver a patient’s desired results. When you schedule a consultation with Dr. Go of Newport Plastic Surgery, he will develop a personalized treatment plan based on your specific cosmetic goals. Once this treatment plan is developed, we will be able to provide you with the exact cost of treatment. We also offer financing through CareCredit® to make this and other treatments more affordable.

How is Radiesse® Used for Hand Rejuvenation?

Radiesse® is the only dermal filler approved by the FDA for hand rejuvenation. As a triple board-certified plastic surgeon and a  board-certified hand surgeon, Dr. Go is masterful in administering Radiesse® treatments to rejuvenate the hands. With Radiesse® treatments, patients can restore lost volume and minimize the visibility of veins and tendons to achieve smooth, natural results.

How is Radiesse® Administered?

Radiesse® is administered through a number of injections into and around the desired treatment area. The injection process is generally well-tolerated, and we offer a topical anesthetic to minimize discomfort. The Radiesse® treatment takes less than 30 minutes to complete, which is why it and many similar injectable treatments are referred to as “lunchtime” or “lunch break” treatments.

What is Recovery Like After a Radiesse® Treatment?

After a Radiesse® treatment, patients may notice mild bruising, swelling, or redness around the injection site. These effects are common, and typically fade within a few days. Despite these side effects, patients will be able to return to work and other normal activities immediately after their appointment. There is no downtime required after Radiesse®.

What Kind of Results Can I Expect from Radiesse®?

You will notice results from your Radiesse® immediately after injection as it adds volume to the skin, smoothing out lines and wrinkles. The results from Radiesse® typically last about a year or longer. After this point, many patients choose to receive additional treatments to maintain their results.
