Breast Lift

There are many reasons that affect the shape and firmness of our breasts: Loss of skin elasticity, gravity, weight loss, pregnancy and breast-feeding. A breast lift can help restore a more youthful contour to their breasts leaving them feeling more youthful and confident, and with a more pleasing contour.

Am I a Candidate for a Breast Lift?

You might be a candidate for a breast lift if you maintain a stable weight, do not smoke, are generally healthy and you have breasts that sag, have lost shape or volume, or if your breasts are flat, elongated, or pendulous, or your areola are stretched or point downward.

The Procedure
The Breast Lift procedure usually lasts one to two hours and is typically performed under general anesthesia. Dr. Goshtasby will make the incisions in locations that will minimize scar visibility, usually in natural folds of the skin. After the breasts are re-positioned and re-contoured, the incisions are closed and sterile dressings are applied.

Recovery
Most patients will feel tired and sore for the first week or so, but you should be able to return to your normal activities after a week to ten days. Dr. Goshtasby will remove your stitches 5 to 10 days after surgery. Any post-pain, swelling and sensitivity should diminish over the first few weeks.

Dr. Goshtasby will be happy to consult with you personally to explore the options to achieve your desired results.
